Hikmet Çetinkaya, born in 1958 in Ankara, Turkey, studied in the Art Department of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Ankara Gazi University.Hikmet has participated in artistic symposiums and showcased his work in over 150 exhibitions globally. This includes approximately sixty solo exhibitions across various countries such as the USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, Austria, France, Sweden, China, Australia, Greece, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia, Malta, Taiwan, and Cyprus.His artwork is prominently displayed in various esteemed institutions worldwide, such as the Turkish Embassy in Australia, the War Museum in Ottawa (Canada), the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador (Canada), the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Canada, the Canadian Ontario Provincial Parliament, Toronto and Ottawa City Hall, Beijing Minzu University in China, the National Museum in Canberra (Australia), the Ministry of Culture in Taiwan, and the Victorian Government Building in Australia.
